We love engaging with our nurse community, now totaling over half a million! We’re here to celebrate the work you do, recognize your pain points, and build solutions to make your life as a nurse better.

This month, we’re starting a roundup to highlight the comments, feedback, and voices from our community of over 500,000 nurses using Nursegrid. We will also include monthly contests and giveaways, so make sure and enter!

Why do you love Nursegrid?

Users love our socks, and we love giving them away! We kicked off last month with a compression sock giveaway. Our goal? We want to know why you love Nursegrid!

Our Winners:

I love Nursegrid! As a busy mama who works night shift, it's nice to have an app that helps me organize my schedule. The platform is easy to use and it lets me know when I'm working with my favorite nurse squad!! Love it!!! — Laura Davis, RN

“I LOVE your app because it helps me stay the most organized I can be with school, work and my family. My schedule anxiety is near nothing because Nursegrid is so easy to use and it’s comparable with my iCloud! Thank you for creating such an amazing tool!”

— Alyssa King, RN

“I’ve been using the app for years! Especially came in handy when I started travel nursing. It kept track of my different assignments and was easy to see what days were for orientation, education or a regular shift! I tell every new nurse I meet to download the app.”

 Teanne Martin, RN

Every month we will have giveaways so be sure to follow us on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter so you don’t miss out.

Recruitment & Retention:

Nurse Recruitment
Nurse Recruitment

The nursing industry has one of the highest turnover rates, especially among new hires. This month we launched our white paper, Nurse Recruitment & Retention, to dive into the looming nurse shortage and uncover what hospitals are doing to recruit and retain quality staff.

Here Are Some Key Findings:

  • 50% of nurses work 7 hours of overtime a week
  • 7 lives saved in 100 patients when a nurses patient load is reduced from 6 to 4
  • 20% of all new nurses leave within a year

We Asked Our Community:
Were you recruited with a sign-on bonus?

86% No
86% Said No

65% said their hospital is doing nothing to recruit and retain quality nurses.
