Overview:

  • Recognize and address patients’ psychological and physical needs.
  • Foster continuity and quality of care with the best interest and well-being of patients and their families in mind.
  • Assess a patients’ medical status upon admission.
  • Assist in developing individualized treatment plans.
  • Comply with evaluation, treatment, and documentation guidelines.
  • Oversee care delivered by LPNs and/or CNAs.

Requirements:

  • ASN/ADN from an accredited program with the ability to obtain your BSN from an accredited program within four (4) years of hire unless you possess a minimum of fifteen (15) years of proven continuous Registered Nurse experience in an acute care setting.
  • Current Colorado RN license.
  • Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain within sixty (60) days of hire (with prior approval).

Preferred:

  • At least one year of nursing experience in a comparable setting.

Overview:

  • Assess the needs of individuals, families and/or communities to identify potential health or safety problems.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
  • Monitor, record and report symptoms and changes in patient’s condition and vital signs.
  • Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patient’s responses and conditions.
  • Develop and modify patient care plans as indicated by patient’s responses and conditions.
  • Prepare patients for, and assist with examinations and treatments.
  • Consult and coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
  • Monitor all aspects of patient care, including diet and physical activity.

Clinical focus: Substance use disorders

Overview:

  • Coordinate with the healthcare team to develop, modify, and implement evidence-based patient care plans, ensuring safe medication administration and patient education in an ambulatory clinic setting.
  • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, identify health or safety needs, and communicate findings to patients and healthcare team members, using data collected from in-person, video, or telephone encounters.
  • Collaborate with patients and the healthcare team to set and achieve measurable goals, coordinate patient care, and advocate for patients and families in line with ANA ethical standards.
  • Support the healthcare team by supervising, educating, and training clinic members, solving patient care issues, coordinating services, and engaging with patients and families within the clinic and community.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
  • Prepare patients for and assist with examinations and treatments.
  • Nursing Diagnosis analyze assessment data to determine nursing diagnosis.

Overview:

  • Perform a full range of psychiatric nursing services including planning, administering and evaluating patient care in accordance with treatment plans.
  • Conduct and document a thorough assessment of patients’ medical status upon admission and throughout the patients’ course of treatment.
  • Administer medical treatment as prescribed by the physician.
  • Attend and participate in clinical team conferences.

Location: Kindred Hospital, Aurora

Clinical focus: Long-term acute care

Overview:

  • Provide professional guidance for nursing personnel, manage disciplinary issues, prepare administrative reports, review staffing and budgetary needs, and integrate Nursing Services functions with other hospital departments.
  • Participate in program development and training for nurse-recruitment activities and assist with continuing education programs.
  • Hire, train, supervise and evaluate designated nursing staff; assigns duties and coordinates nursing services.
  • Participate in developing nursing protocol and procedures.
  • Provides continuing education and staff development opportunities for nursing staff.
  • Assess patient needs; participate in providing nursing care; ensure services are carried out and documented appropriately.
  • Maintain patient health care records.

Requirements:

  • Appropriate degree from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Valid RN license in the state.
  • BCLS and ACLS certification.
  • Two years of RN nursing experience in a hospital.
  • One to two years supervisory/leadership experience.
