Our latest release for Nursegrid Mobile iOS users is here! (Android users, we’re working on your update too – we just hope you can be patient with us!)

We’re always working to bring more balance to your work lives—to make it easier for you to manage your ever-changing work and personal schedules, and to keep you better connected with your colleagues and friends. With this release we’re excited to tell you about updates in both areas:

ShiftSnap

  • Our brand new #ShiftSnap feature, which makes Nursegrid Mobile more social than ever
  • A simplification of our Calendar settings and event reminder notifications, so you can set things up just the way you like them more intuitively

Read on to learn about what we’ve added, and head here if you’re not sure how to update your iOS device. If you’re accessing Nursegrid on the web, the newest features will soon be available to you just by logging in. No update required!

Say cheese!

One of the most popular features of Nursegrid Mobile has always been the ability to see who you’re working with each shift, and the reason is clear: Helpful, supportive colleagues help get us through those tough shifts, when particularly difficult patients and family members are taxing our emotional and physical energy and it feels like we can’t possibly get everything done.

Now you and your colleagues can show your team pride (and Nursegrid love) to the world—and have a little fun doing it—with our new #ShiftSnap social sharing feature, whether you’re grabbing coffee before a shift or headed to breakfast with the squad after a long night shift.

When you tap on any shift, now you can tap the person with a camera icon in the upper right-hand corner to access #ShiftSnap.

Once you give Nursegrid access to your phone’s camera, you can take a picture and choose from a bunch of fun Nursegrid filters, including Night Shift, Caffeine (a nurse’s best friend!), and Breakfast Club.

Tap the Save button in the upper right-hand corner to post your photo right to Instagram or save it to your Camera Roll to share on Facebook, Snapchat, or wherever. Make sure you use #ShiftSnap so you and your friends and colleagues can see each other’s pictures all in one place!

Make Sure You Know Where and When to Be

We’ve heard from a lot of you that finding your Calendar Settings wasn’t always easy, and we agreed.

Now they’re right on your Calendar screen, indicated by a familiar gear icon. Adjust which worksites you see on your calendar, update third party calendar sharing settings, delete multiple events at once, and more in this one simplified menu.

Right next to the gear icon you’ll see a bell to indicate your shift and event reminder notifications, which you don’t want to forget when you’re trying to stay on schedule. Tap the bell to set reminders for work shifts, paydays, personal events, and more. You can customize how soon before the shift or event you’d like to be notified.

The last small change to your Calendar is that the three tabs are a bit clearer now. The second one will now just display available Swaps sent from your colleagues, and the third will show available Open Shifts sent from your manager or scheduler for those of you in departments using our integrated Nursegrid Manager solution.

We’re always working to improve our products based on your feedback. Let us know what you think, ask a question, or just say hi at support@nursegrid.com. Thanks for being a #Nursegridder!
