Q: Why is HealthStream acquiring NurseGrid?
A: HealthStream has been a valued partner and investor in NurseGrid since January 2019. Over the course of the last several months, NurseGrid and HealthStream have been working closely to market and distribute our NurseGrid Enterprise solution to hospital systems. Our similar passions, as well as the mutual recognition of our respective assets and capabilities, laid the foundation for a deeper partnership.

Q: Who is HealthStream?
A: HealthStream is dedicated to improving patient outcomes through the development of healthcare organizations’ greatest asset: their people. Their unified suite of solutions is contracted by healthcare organizations across the U.S. for workforce development, training & learning management, talent management, credentialing, privileging, provider enrollment, performance assessment, and managing simulation-based education programs.

Q: Who is NurseGrid?
A: NurseGrid is committed to ending short-staffing by alleviating healthcare’s most pernicious issue through intelligent staffing solutions. Across the continuum of care, departments are modernizing processes and discovering how nurse-centric technology transforms the clinical environment.

Q: How do HealthStream and NurseGrid complement each other?
A: HealthStream and NurseGrid have a common vision to improve nurses’ lives through tools and solutions that enhance their careers, development, and life-balance. We have also been collaborating on our respective product and engineering roadmaps. Our similar passions, as well as the mutual recognition of our respective assets and capabilities, laid the foundation for a deeper partnership.

Q: What will become of the NurseGrid brand?
A: There will be no changes to the logo, technology, and user community.

Q: Will there be any immediate changes to the app or web platforms?
A: There are no immediate nor imminent changes to the platforms.

Q: How will customers be impacted by the acquisition?
A: There will be no impact to customers; they will continue to use their current software products as is and receive the same great service from the same great support team here at NurseGrid.

Q: Will there be any leadership changes as a result of the acquisition?
A: Rob MacNaughton will be leaving NurseGrid following the acquisition by HealthStream. Scott McQuigg, Senior Vice President of HealthStream, will have responsibility for NurseGrid going forward.

Q: How will employees of NurseGrid be impacted?
A: HealthStream will continue to invest in and rely on the existing NurseGrid team to build and strengthen our engaged user base.
